Part 2 - Could you please identify these cars?

I have decided to start a second thread to reduce the number images in each thread. Below are two cars I would like to know the year and make. Thanks

I mean you no disrespect, but your questions sure leave me feeling old! Hard to imagine that there could be anyone who'd have to ask what year and make these cars are! "Boomers" like me know these cars like the back of our hands--it's the late model stuff that perplexes us!

It's like: a person used to ask, ''...and what were YOU doing on November 22, 1963?" and get a ready answer from almost anyone on the street. Now you get a blank stare when you put forth that inquiry. I guess it's hard for us aging children to come to grips with the notion that we are becoming a minority in a world that knows a 1990 Toyota but is stumped by a '56 Merc.

I wish life's deep questions were as easy to answer as the ones you're asking!!

Thanks PIERCEARROW1935

Jon B .... I know very little about cars and the descriptions I had on my site like "Classic 1950's Car" was no good, I need to be more precise.

How about the image below? Make and year of the car on the left.

Jon I think about this a lot. I'm 19 and I'm trying to learn more about IDing classic cars. Right now if you show me a 1953-1963 Corvette, I'll be able to ID the exact year... not much but it's a start. I have a friend with a 1959 Corvette who's helping me with this. I lurk on this forum a lot and I'm trying to learn more. On the other hand I know all the minute differences between modern cars and it makes me wonder if some day young kids will ask me to help ID these future classics. I saw a 1936 Cord 810 today and I'm sorry to say that I didn't even guess the make correctly when I saw it drive by (thought it was maybe an Auburn Speedster). So hopefully within a few years if I see something like that drive by I'll know what it is.

In the past if I saw an old car drive by I would think "Cool... an old car." Now I realize some of the treasures I missed out on because of my ignorance - one neighbor had a Jag E-Type and another had a C2 Corvette... both are long gone and I haven't seen one of either of those on the road for years. And learning more about these cars doesn't just make me happy, I can tell it brings a smile to the owner's face when they see that a young 'un like me is trying to learn about these old cars.

by the way ... I'm trying to learn more about 50s-60s music too! Maybe I was just born a few decades late :D
