Did they really come with carpeting for upholstery on the door panels? :D
I think 10k is way too much for the amount of work needed to bring this car back to speed. Just a basic paint job and interior could easily add 6-10k let alone any other mechanical work needed ~ unless you're doing the work yourself...even then I'd be hesitant on paying top dollar for it without looking at it first - save your money and learn by our mistakes ;)

Let's hope the new owner finds their way out here - so we can get the real scoop on the car!

If its solid, I'd say that isn't too bad a price. There aren't any stepdown coupe drivers anymore. Plus, a super wasp is a desirable model.

I was recently offered 10K cash for my '49 Coupe. I went to a rather populated cruise in, and was swarmed.
As everyone here knows, my car isn't very pretty - but solid as a rock in all the places that matter most. I think the real draw is that the car is in its natural state with the exception of the pretty red Hornet lurking under the hood.
I was shocked, but didn't take the offer and won't.
By the time I could buy one of Bill A's nice vehicles in the rough and get it here to Tennessee - It would cost me more than that.
The folks I talked to were either people looking to get into Hudsons, or folks who have been into Hudsons looking to return.
By the numbers I heard flying around the cruise in regarding my car, I'm not surprized at this Super Wasp disappearing at 10K. Evidently things in the Hudson marquee have gone up recently.
I also believe there will be a good market for replacement perimeter frame members in the near future.

The more popular the car, the better the likelihood of parts being reproduced. Hopefully, this will lead more people to restore current basket cases as opposed to parting them out.
