We had 107 here in Scottsdale today with 9% humidity (supposed to hit 108 tomorrow), and I'll tell ya, I've got a new respect for anyone driving Hudsons out there with no a/c! The a/c compressor ruptured on my Range Rover and driving it around here with no a/c is murder! It takes 3 minutes to drive from my home to my office and in that time your back is sticking to your seat! Fortunately, my neighbor has a good used one which came off a Scallenitti Ferrari (sp?) so I don't have to pay $500 for a new one!
A/C is definately going in my Coupe! Just think of all those folks driving years ago without it. Some brave soles! Maybe it wasn't so hot back then?

They had AC back then - the ol' swamp cooler style you hung off the windows which had to be better than nothing.

Mark IV replicas are now available not cheap so I've heard. Made in China versions are far cheaper and it still has the 50's, 60's look about them.
