I am planning on restoring an old muscle car. I am a Chevy man so I have narrowed the choices down to a 1970 Chevelle SS or 1970 Nova SS. This is the first time I have done this. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on which car to restore?
Thanks

I'VE HAD BOTH CARS AND MANY OF THEM. ITS ALL IN WHAT YOU WANT TO DO WITH IT. THE NOVA IS LIGHT AND FUN WITH A SUB FRAME THE CHEVELLE IS HEAVIER WITH A FULL FRAME. PARTS ARE EVERWHERE FOR EACH OF THEM. BUCKET SEATS AND A SS HOOD ARE BOTH A MUST. A 4 SPEED IS ALSO VERY NICE, 12 BOLT REARS ARE MORE AVAILIBLE FOR THE CHEVELLE. IF YOU WANT TO CLONE A SS CHEVELLE YOU CAN USE THE DASH OUT OF A 70-72 MONTE CARLO INTO THE CHEVELLE. FINDING A SOLID CAR WOULD SWAY ME IN WHICH WAY TO GO.CHECK THE TRUNK VERY CLOSE FOR RUST AND OLD SPEED LIMIT SIGNS. FINDING AND BUYING THE CAR IS HALF THE FUN GOOD LUCK BOB

I'm kind of biased myself, cuz I'm just finishing up a 1974 nova. I would go with the nova, simply because the chevelle is a much more popular, and that makes the nova a bit more rare.
