Has anyone tried drilling holes in the wheels to screw on full moon hubcaps? I'm afraid to try it. I don't want my tires to leak. Is there a good way to do this?

Why would you want full moon hubcaps when you can only see them for a few nights a month?

A few nights a month? The last true full moon I saw was at the York PA HET National. Had something to do with a blue Essex pick-up as I recall.

Many years ago I put a set on some 15" wheels. The screws from Moon were so short they barely got thru the rim. They also lined up with the thickest part of the tire bead,so there were no leaks.

I've also seen people put screws in their motorcycle rims, to keep the tire from slipping. Never tried that myself, but it seemed to work for them. Just keep the screws short and in line with the tire bead.

Also, somewhere in Dad's barn is a complete set of snap-on Moon discs. As I recall, they haven't ever been used. Gawd knows when the last time I saw them!!
