I know it is correct for the car but those yellow wheels would have to go.
Body color would have looked better.

i like them and when i put on the new trim rings, it will only be a slight accent to the gold and tan top. WHAT DO YOU OTHER GUYS THINK?????? BILL A.

I second that. The yellow has to go. How about red?

Bill;
I like them, leave them like that, then if it bothers me when it's mine I'll change them.

I don't know, guys... the cream wheels are kinda striking. I'm curious about the black inner fender extensions where the ends of the grille are. Was this factory? I've seen that treatment on a couple other cars.

I Think That It Is Correct The 46/47 Had Black Under Grill Bars On The Sides. The Only Orig 49 I Have Is Black Anyhow And It Is All The Same, Any Opinions Out There From Guys Who Have An Original Paint Car????

I will have to say the wheels would look much better if they were closer to the original color. Those wheels are entirely too yellow. Just my 2 cents worth.

I like the yellow wheels. Beautiful job on the car. It is amazing what you can get done in such a short time. I struggle to find time to change oil, let alone fix the other things that need attention :(
Keep up the great work, and thanks for posting the pics.

The yellow rims look good. Is that the same yellow you used on that last convertible?

suprisingly two-tone. the part that would make sense to be black should be black and the segment that fills the fender is body color. apperently it made more cents ;) to mask than to use two pieces

hey nick, send me those pieces, looks almost the same gold as my car LOL. NO, JUST KIDDING, I WILL KEEP THE BLACK AND GIVE ALL THE NIT PICKERS SOMETHING TO PICK OUT, BILL A.

I Like it... Gives me the impression (at least from the pictures) that the grille is 'floating' within the space... Also, my preference would be to keep the yellow wheels...
Bill - When you finish, you can ship that 'beast' to right to me!
(Honestly, I don't have space now, and couldn't afford it if I did!) :D :rolleyes:

I was at Bill's today and saw the progress he is making on the Commodore, wow, what a job. Bill has taken it down to bare bones and is bringing a beautiful car back to life. His grandson Jay was installing the trunk handle and mechanism and Edgar was working on one of the doors. Jay said they are getting close to sending it to the upholstery shop to get the insides put back together, this is going to be one beautiful car when they are done with it.
