Oh, yes, in case sharp eyes spotted the Hudson dealer sign and the "Bellingham Auto Sales" sign on the building - those are still there, and tho Hudson kid didn't say when the pics were taken but it could have been anytime in the past 50 years (or however long Ed's had Sir Vival.
Bellingham Auto Sales was a Hudson dealer that was run by his Dad, Don Moore, back in the day.
So, in a sense, you could say this IS the last operating Hudson dealership, since Ed has a Hudson or two and they get worked on, when needed, in the old dealership.

I had a chance to talk with Ed Moore at Hershey about the car and to see some of his pictures. Ed said the car was sold at his Dad's dealership originally. There was a big kick for safety and even government grant money to build these sort of things in the 50's This car was featured in Popular Mechanics or Science back in the day. Note the rubber bumper all around the car for one thing. It was interesting to learn more about it.

Good idea, hudsonkid. But wait...I think that guy is more interested in true Hudson-produced automobiles. I've tried to interest him in one of those home brewed stepdown pickups or even that stepdown station wagon we saw this summer...but alas...he likes the real stuff.

Here's a time I am glad to say I don't have a garage....

Right now, I am being rained out, my hudson is sitting in the rain, in my driveway. If nothing else, it gets redone next year, all the new chrome goes on, etc....

Sure looks better than the ebay pictures. I'm really glad you got it and will give it the proper attention it deserves. At some point I hope to get to see the finished car, which I'm sure will be better than new.

Was this front wheel Drive? Or rear engine under the 2nd story roof?
Or did it have a really really big universal joint from the engine compartment to the rear of the car?
How does one access the Pilot House? Go thru the basement to a stairway to the 2nd floor?
Does anyone admit to building it? If so who built it?

Okay buddies, I want to start investing in real estate with little or no money down, but how can I do that? I do not trust those info agencies they always seem to have a catch. I want to talk to someone that has experience with purchasing property utilizing government fund to fix up and rent out real estate. Please give me some good resources. Thank you.

That car was custom built in Worcester MA in the early 60's from many cars it was shown at the 1967 Worlds Fair in Canada My Mother was good friends with the builder and I saw it as it was being built. The car does have a history of one major accident that all people it it were unharmed (they demolished a stone wall with it)
I will find the name of the man who built it and post it at a later date.
I do belive it was Walter c Jerome
The windshild also turned to keep it clean. It was round.

Been to the "dealership" a time or two over the years as well. Bellingham Auto Sales is a time warp.

I worked on this car(Sir Vival) when I was in Trade School Auto Mechanics class between 1956 and !960, It was built from two Hudsons in Mr Hazlets class, body shop. The windshield rotated and the wipers were fixed. There is a good photo of it in my yaerbook, 1960 Worcester Boys Trade High School.
