:D I finally got the '49 super six started, after sitting for over a year as I only worked on it as time would allow. Did a valve job and replaced a broken exhaust manifold. Had the fuel tank rebuilt and a few odds and ends. Now to tinker with the throtle linkage, change the oil and take it for a run. Hopefully this weekend. No heat for now as the heater core is blocked with sludge. Wish me luck on my run. Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving. Arnie

Arnie;
do you have any pictures? I'm thinking since I'm a 49 model I should start thinking about getting a 49. Hopefully one in better shape than I am. A driver for now to be fancied up as I go along. Sounds like you have a good start on yours.

:D Hi Harry, I have been considering selling this '49. It is a four door, super six with some commodore upgrades. The car came from the Seattle area and has a lot of under coating. The body is not to bad, the left rear door is rusty on the inside bottom and the window mechanism does not work. I am sure that with some more TLC it would be a good driver. It needs a complete interior. I will be able to send some pictures when I get my camera back.I do not know how to get them onto the forum. Thanks, Arnie P.S. I live in Dayton, Nevada
