I am in process of putting a 52 Coupe De Ville together (I bought it in boxes). The power window motor has a nice spot for connecting +B but I can't see any place to hook up a good ground. It is going to need a lot of current so I am anticipating needing a heavy starter size wire, maybe even the braided style.

Anyone know where on the pump/motor to hook it up????

If it's the type that is mounted under the hood in front of the driver area with the large motor and reservoir with the bail on it, then it will be grounded by the braket that is at the top and bolted to the firewall.

Thanks for the reply.....it is the large motor and pump with reservoir on the bottom but it is mounted to the firewall but off to the side on the passenger side. Basically it is below and outboard of the battery. The single hydraulic hose feeds into the kick panel area on the passenger side.

Since it is totally supported by rubber isolators (one at the top, two closer to the bottom), it needs some kind of a ground wire.

Thanks again for any light you can shed on this.
