1953 Sedan Delivery Steering

I need help removing the steering box from my sedan delivery. I don't know how to get it off of the shaft. Do I hve to pull the gear, or do I hve to pull the whole shaft out of the column?

You will need to remove the gear box and mast jacket assembly together as one unit.

Right, You have to pull the driver side fender or put the truck on a lift. The whole unit has to come out together. Or, do like I did, chop it off with a band saw and install a GM tilt column.
