Twin H fuel economy

I am curious whether switching from Twin H Power to a singe carburetor would make a significant difference in fuel ecomomy.

Hi Tom,
Having run both setups on the same car, my 52 Hornet with engine in decent shape, gets 19.7 mpg on the road, while the TwinH got about 16.2 mpg. going 55 mph.
