Hi Ya'll,
I'm helping an old friend with his Fleetline,he's got a pile of door seals
from Steele,but has no clue where they go..Steele cant help either.Does
anyone have a drawing or pictures of the proper placement of the
door seals?Its a 4 door... THANKS!!!

They should go around the edge of the door right on the lip just inside as you open the door.

Hi Ron,
I wish it were that easy!I have at least 4 different styles of extruded
seal for the doors,seems they are pieced together in some way to form
a "perfect seal" as one retired mechanic termed it.I also have a trunk
seal'kit' that has (2)90 degree bends and 2 styles of seal.I'm pretty
good at figuring out stuff,but I cant seem to even get started here.
A parts diagram or some photos would really help..

All my shop manual for 49 to 54 shows is a piture of one door and it's not about the weather strip. Have you tried calling someone like Chevs of the 40's? They may have something to help in your quest.

I'm 'new' to cars this old,most work has been 60's and up.Do you have

Chevs of the 40s have an illustration online that shows placement
of the seals!
