254 Engine

Doesn't look like my machine shop guy is gonna get my machine work done in time for this seasons Hudson fun. He found out in January he has bladder cancer, caused by a lifetime of smoking. So, does anyone have a decent running 254 they're not using that I could set in til mine is done? Doesn't have to be perfect , just usable and within a reasonable distance of south central Michigan. Foolish question I know, but I've been 2 seasons without a running Hudson. I'm not exactly desperate, as I can't pay a desperate price (really going off the deep end now, huh). Well at least you'll have something and someone to laugh at and about. Entertainment is free.

I suggest widening your options & look for a 262 or 308 motor to set in your car temporarily or permenantly so you can enjoy crusin Season.

there's a 308 and a 262 on the board right now for sale, I think. It would bolt right in for the time.

Get in touch with Hudzilla. He andI were talking about a 254 that I will need later this year. We might be able to get a 3 way deal going, when your engineis ready, I can use his replacement. He's in North Carolina, I'm in East Tennessee (about 600 miles to Lansing from my place I think).
