Got a few questions

I have a 1965 olds cutlass F85, it my dads actually. I think it came origanaly with a 330ci motor my father had a new cam put in and had the engine bored 30 over and enitrely rebuilt. He drove it for about 4000 miles and parked it for some reason (he says something to do with the brakes) its been sitting outside for about 10 years hasn't moved. WELL today i got a great idea to unbury it after 2 guys came by the other day and were estatic about the car( i thought they see something in it why not give it a shot). the frame is all solid the body is solid other then the already known to be rotted floor boards the car doesn't look to ruff. Here inlies my question where should i start on the motor? what should be the first thing I do? I've never restored a car before so HELP haha please:cool:

My first move would be to remove all the spark plugs and put a small amount of either Marvel Mystery Oil or Trans fluid in each cylinder. Put in a fully charged battery making sure that all your connections are clean and tight. Turn the ignition key and see if it spins.

Ron,
Thanks a lot, I'll be doing that today. Should I let the lube sit for a day or so? and also I was thinking instead using a battery I could just turn it over from the harmonic balancer?

Think that will do?

No need to let it sit real long. It is a good idea to turn it over a little with just the balancer though, just to get oil on the cylinders. After that you can use the starter.
