:)Today was a very good day. Loaded the Terraplane on the car trailer and went to an Orphan Car Meet in Carson City, Nevada is a rather large state and and that makes it difficult for a lot of cars at some of the many shows this time of year. The meet was hosted by the Studebaker Club and it was a success. There were five Hudsons, one sharp '55 hornet from Southern Nevada and the other four were a lot closer. The Hudsons included a sharp '47 Convertible, a sharp '53 Hornet convertible, a '39 Sedan and my Terraplane. Ofm course there were several Studebakers some AMC's and Plymouth and Oldsmobile, hard to believe that they are orphans, but they are. and a few Packards. There were even a couplle nice Chevies off to one side. It is with great pleasure that I can say that the '53 Hornet Covertible took best of '50-59 and it also took peoples choice. Everyone was a big help in unloading and loading my Terraplane. I think I traced the problem down to the float in the Carburator, more on that later. Hudson's are winners. Have a great weekend. 5 HUDSONS????????? Good heavens to Murgatroyd!!!! That's a revolution!!
Some Hudson meets, in well populated areas, don't draw 5 Hudsons.
Way to go team.

It probably won't be long, you'll see 2004 Oldsmobiles, and 2007 Mercurys at Orphan meets.

When did Mercury go away?

:(Unfortunatley, Mercury only is slated to produce the Sable, which is really a taurus this next year. I thnik Ford is quietly dropping the Mercury line. It appears that the major import brands have a wider selection of models to choose from than the domestics. A neighbor did ask me if I was going to start collecting Oldsmobiles and Plymouths, of course I said no.I Like Hudsons,Hudsons and more HUdsons.
