getting ready to do the running boards on my 41 bigboy, original rubber mats cracked and a few chunks missing, but seem to be glued on good. how do you get the old ones off??

A hammer and a sharp wood chisel works real well!!

Took mine off the Terraplane with a flat sanding flap wheel on the grinder till I got close and took the last with a wire brush on the grinder. MESSY !! Did it outside with a resperator and eye goggles. Bud

thanks!! lots off tips here!! would soaking in kerosene or something help?? god this stuff is stuck on there!!

HI, if its held on by a contact adhesive, you can use a good hot air blower at a couple hundred degress + this will reactivate the glue or you could use acatate (nail polish remover) but you would have to be very careful of any single pack paint, its ok with 2 pack painters though
we do this at work when we lay down laminates etc and they arnt straight enough
