Hello everyone, I have a question. Is there a special Hydramatic manual for the Jet or is the Jet covered in the manual for the big Hudsons? I want to make some adjustments but need to know the sequence of the adjustments and want to make sure I get the right manual. Thanks, Dave

Someone will reply soon with more knowledge about Jets than me, but I believe all the Hydramatics were the same (with the exception of the single and dual range option). The manual you need covers the Hydramatic by itself, which is a seperate manual than the Shop manual for your car. So, answer to your question, yes, there is a manual just for the Hydra-matic.

FYI
There are a couple of Hudson Hydramatic Manuals currently on e Bay....
However, I belive the basic Hydro adjustment proceedure is mentioned in any 50's Motors Manual

Thanks guys, I will check what I have. What I am looking for are the linkage adjustments, I don't have full throttle now and need to know the procedure for the rods to the carb and the transmission. Thanks

Although my site doesn't go into depth on the workings of the hydra-matic, the following link will give you some extra insite on operation:
