Minimum Head Thickness for 262?

OK everybody, its survey time. What's the thinnest head you've successfully run on your 262/308? I understand the official min thickness is 1.940, but I'd sure hate to toss one out if it had a few more shaves in it....

For those who don't know, Hudson heads come from the factory at 2.00" thick. The recommended maximum material to remove is .060", leaving a head that is 1.940" thick. I've successfully run an aluminum head shaved to 1.935, but at that thickness I had one or two spark plugs that had to be spaced up a bit to clear the exhaust valve. Keep in mind that many heads requiring that kind of shave are warped, so getting the deck surface flat again required removal of more material at some spots that at others. A quick search of related threads here will also reveal various opinions on the type of head gasket to use when heads are shaved that far... especially the factory aluminum ones.

FYI
I measure valve lift then mill the head to that depth. More Compression gives more HP. Measure to the shallowest depth of combustion chamber though or you will need to use shorter reach S/Plugs. Best Co. Permbond Gasket from Randy Maas or Dale Cooper is the best available today...
