Engine Color - 1925 Hudson

Thanks again to all of you folks who have been helping me along my way on my restoration. Might someone be able to point me in the direction I need to go to find out what color the engine (etc) was painted? Thanks. Rich

I saw a nicely restored example not to long ago and the engine was a dark gray with a hint of green.

The best info I have seen is posting #1337 in the Yahoo Groups Super Six forum about an original '26 engine painted all black; crankcase, block and head. My belief is that the oil pan was un-painted, being zinc coated. My trans. appears to have been black also. I left my crankcase un-painted on my '26 Brougham as per my personal preference.
