I have a 51 232 engine with a WA1- 749S carb on it can I replace it with a WD1-990S without any problems? Thanks, Richie.

I was just comparing the Carter sheets on the two - other than the flange size being different (749S is 1½; 990S is 1¼) the two are virtually identical as far as specifications.

If you'd like I can scan the 990S sheet (I've already done the -749S) and send them to you via email.
