Edmunds Twin Carb Set up sold on Ebay

Those things are always strong money- but that's the nicest one I've seen, so "extra strong". On stuff like that, there are a certain number of guys who want it so bad that money becomes no object. I'll bet it would have gone higher, but the sale "timed out" (final bid was one second before the end, previous bid 3 seconds before that). My pet ebay peeve- if you want a true auction, extend the bidding time by 30 seconds each time there is a bid near the end- so you actually get the item going to the highest bidder, rather than the most skillful (or luckiest) sniper.

The price didn't surprise me as much as there was only two bolt holes on the block side. Isn't that a little odd?

Mine is a 2X2 Edmunds and only has 2 holes

How does the intake runner length compare to the original Twin-H intake? On the Edmunds, it looks like 1 and 6 are considerably longer than the other 4.

Jack Clifford told me once that Twin- H would outperform an Edmunds Intake as can be seen by the un-equal runners. However it was his opinion. If not racing the Edmunds Intakes are much lighter and polish up nice to install on a Street Car.

After lugging around one to many Twin H manifolds I sure wish someone would recreate that part in Aluminum. Be so much lighter and yes you polish up really nice. Also have changeable adapters for 1 or 2 barrel carbs.

Period parts of this nature just about always fetch good money... In a strong economy (unlike our current recession) this might have gone quite a bit higher (IMHO).

That makes sense, but they DO look really nice!

I have this set up on my '50 Commmador, with '51 308. It has 350 hollies and clifford headers. I am waiting to get the pipes and mufflers installed. I have been told that the 350 hollies has to much gas for the 308. The person that built this set up , says that alot of bull. Will find out soon. The intake is not polished up like this one! :(
