Where can I get new carburetor choke tube covers? This is the white woven material that covers the tubes going from the manifold to the choke thermostats. Twin H in my case. I may want to change the tubes also, anybody done this lately? Do I have to make them or are they avaliable?

thanks

Chris

I'd try your local auto parts store (NAPA always seems to be the best, unless you have a twenty-something at the counter, in which case don't bother).

If you can't find the actual material you could purchas a universal choke stove kit (even some of the "AutoZone"-type stores have these). You can pitch out the metal tube and stove, and just use the woven loom.

Original was asbestos and no longer available. Dave Kostansek has a nylon material that works.

This link shows the kit Jon is talking about:

I ordered one from my local Murray's Auto Parts (order by Dorman Part#). Under $10.00

Here is a part off a Chevy that should work.
