Looking at my Hydromatic manual, I notice H-50, H-51, J-51 trannys. Does that mean that Hudson installed an automatic in some cars in 1950, or does the model number not match car model years? Just curious.

H-50 tranny was installed in early 51 cars then replaced by H-51 in later production. My 51 Hornet has the H-50 my friends 51 Hornet has the H-51. So no Hudson did not install automatics in the 1950 model year.
