I wish I lived close enough to afford shipping for this monster.

Too big for me, and opposite side of the country as well. It would probably shake the workshop off it's foundations anyway! :D

Noticed this yesterday - Appears to be the same unit as the one I got, although the basket doesn't look correct. I think they have put a UV-10 basket (smaller basket) on the UV-18 base. They probably didn't even notice... I sent an inquiry to the seller, asking about it -

Going pretty cheap, considering that these retail at around $190 new + shipping.

Here's a picture of a UV-18, with the proper basket -

About the above: Seller responded, claiming it is the proper basket - probably not, as evidenced from the photos shown above...

My tumbling: Still working on my first load - I do not leave it running overnight, at least for now. Going on about 30 hours thus far with the green pyramids. Have not changed the water/solution as yet.

Also went to Harborfreight to see about getting some ceramic media today. Didn't see anything I would want to use - My concern is that what they have is too large/agressive for what I want to do with it. If I can get some smaller, less agressive ceramic media (I'll keep looking), I will try it...

Rick, I like the progression from Green Pyramids, to walnut shells, to corncob media.

I get a grey sludge when I use the pyramids, but everything ends up a dull grey. The walnut shells (dry shine) will give it that first shine. I got a bar of jewlers rouge, and scrape about a table spoon of the shavings from the bar in with the walnut shells. But it's when I liberally coat the parts with Brasso, let it dry, then put in the tumbler with corn cob media, that the real shine takes place. I like this combination, because it's not too agressive to anything. Even the door lock knobs.

Thanks Wes, I'll be checking the load in the morning - and go from there.
