it no longer has a Hudson engine (don't remember what he does have, Dodge slant 6?). Janet's brother lives there who is also into Hudsons - I think Stu was a forest ranger in Yellowstone.

Yup, all of your guesses are correct. Perhaps I should mention that he recently retired. My guess is that they were headed for Pray, Montana where Stu lives in a mini example of the Yellowstone lodge. They have a nice spread on the Yellowstone River (I think that is the one) just north of the park. Stu has a nice collection of Hudsons and some other orphan cars--Also, his shop is too die for!! He has a "kijullion" cars and a bunch of fun antique type stuff there. His parts are very reasonable and you can get his contact data in the WTN.

I bought the '52 Hornet coupe that Ray in Las Vegas is re-doing from Stu, in about 1995. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit with him. As Brownie said, lots of interesting stuff.

I think he has moved to Livingston, since he retired, but may very well still have the place at Pray.

Stu lives south of Livington, MT. north of Yellowstone Park- great place to live !! Stu told me he bought 9 Hudsons lately - had 3 for sale in the WTN .

The pictured car was and is Press Kales primary transportation vehicle. When he and Janet moved to California they needed a car to travel back to Indiana to visit family. Press bought the car and installed a Slant 6 with automatic into the body. When they started K-gap the same car was the tow vehicle for thier Mullens trailer loaded with replacement rubber parts they carried to most regional meets. I have had the opportunity to ride in that car several times when I crossed paths with the Kales at Hudson meets or home in California. Do not know the mileage... but it is definately in the 100s of thousands of miles.
