I am in the process of repairing rust on the cowl. Can anyone help identify the purpose of these numbered holes? I want to weld closed any no needed.

Im surprised no one has replied. The obvious is to take some photos of other 1937 car or truck cowls. 37 was a popular year so there may be some close to you or at the Nationals. I think some of the holes must be for LH & others for RH drive cars. Its a good idea - to block out the heat and noise if you live here in Australia, or in hot Florida. Regards, Barry

Hey Kdancy,
I think holes # 2,5,11,14,16,19, & 27 are for the fasteners that hold the kickpanel on the inside.
Hole #8 is for the water drain tube for the cowl vent and #15 is where the choke cable comes through.
Hope this helps!

Now, with those holes welded up, any one have an ID for the other holes?
thanks!!
