This question has probably been answered somewhere before, but I can't remember the answer.
Was the automatic trans supplied in the '53-'54 Hudsons, also used in other makes cars as well, perhaps just with a different bellhousing, or converter, maybe mounts, etc.
Could a Guy scratch around a scrapyard somewhere, and find a perfectly good trans for his Hornet in a '53 or '54 Olds, or Cadillac, or Packard, or some such make?
I know a modern trans can be made to fit with a bit of fabrication, but I'm wondering if there's some bolt-in parts out there somewhere already.
Seems to me that the trans would not likely be exclusive to just the Hudson marque.
Just wondering,
