I inherited a 69 Buick Special Deluxe with a v6 250 4.1 liter I believe? Anyhow its a one barrel 2 5/8 diameter head.
I recieved and its missing the bracket that holds air filter box on.
Hence no air cleaner box, heat exhaust pipe that runs to it.
How in the Lords name am I going to replace this? Original or otherwise.
I have called Cali to NY to no avail sofar.
Peace, Thanks for reading, Roger
it only has 60k on it, body is clean as can be, would like to get it runnin anyhow. It does run, just not good missing these parts.

Does not have to be original to keep dirt out of your engine . An auto parts store shoild be able to get you an aftermarket air cleaner setup , several different brands are available . BUD

Ya I thought I might, but seems I cannot find one with all the original hose plugins and a place for the 'hear riser'(heat exhaust pipe, whatever you call it) to come up to it underneath.
Tried NY to Cali sofar lol.
I might be able to get away with what I find, but missing that exhaust pipe seems to give it a 'pop'.

It sounds like you are talking about the "Stove Pipe" that allows hot air from off of the exhaust to be drawn into the air cleaner.
This is part of the "Thermac" system. There is a door on the snorkle of the air cleaner body that is vacumm operated. It is opened to allow hot air to be drawn into the air cleaner when the engine is cold. This is to prevent carburator iceing. After the engine warms the door is then closed as the hot air is no longer needed because the engine heat is sufficient to prevent iceing.
This system wil only be in play if you live and drive in a cold environment. If you drive the car for pleasure as so many old car fans do, you will not need the original system.
If you want the car to be "correct" then I would suggest looking in the A.A.C.A. message boards and the Buick guys will be able to direct you to the right place to find what you need.
