hi i got valiant 2 door, slant six engine and hard top. any body have info about this beuty, like what year she was made(year model) i'd like to save her from the junk yard!!

Hi,

Newbie with 83 Firebird. Aftermarket side molding supplied with car when new now has one mangled piece. Local body shop says "That was a very poplular type back then." It turns out he just dumped his old stock of that very type LAST WEEK!

I don't know anything about the resources for such parts. Does it make sense to try the local junk yards? Try phone calls to body shops, hoping to find one that has been around long enough and might have a some of this stuff?

The alternative is to replace both sides with new molding. Not a preferred solution.

Any help will be appreciated.
