Idendity this car please.

Can someone please identify this car. At one time, it belonged to Clark Gable.

My best guess would be a 1927 Auburn. It might be a boattail speedster, I can't make out the tail end. Compare to this photo of a '27 phaeton. Note the similarity in headlights, grille, tubular front bumpers, windshield and hood side louvers.
