Essex super6 1928 electrical system

Hello,

Is the 1928 model negative or positive earth?
I have the instruction book of 1927 model and it looks like it is negative earth.
My Essex is positive earth is it correct?

They were originally negative earth, but it really doesn't matter, so long as the coil and ammeter are connected the correct way. I think they went positive earth from 1934 onwards.
