Hello;
I am still looking fora Igniton switch for my 1933 Hudson 8, thought I had one Bill Albright but the wrong switch. What I have is switch that is attatched to the coil with Keys That mounts to the dash, I need the switch that has the armord cable that runs to the coil on the engine block, I have been told that packards used the same switch. True or false?

Thank you

I have the electrolox out of my 31 Hudson sitting on the fender. I need to get a key made. Right now I run it on hot wire. I can get the model number if it will help. Does anyone know if the 34 and the 31 are the same?

Good Luck
Steve

Hello rookie,What is the original problem?Do you have the original switch?I had a problem with my dash switch in that it was replaced with a remote coil.The original swich was not working and someone bypassed it.I was able to fix the old unit.I dont claim to be an expert but just frugal. I was able to open the old unit and see the contacts worn out and not making contact not dirty but worn off.I used a common soldering iron to build up the contact points and a dremmel to form the correct surface area to make it all work great.If i can help please let me know. Parts are hard to find and most are repairable.An old friend told me once just because you are not doing it like everyone else dosent mean you are doing it wrong.
