Was looking into why the tips of the front bumper on my '46 Hudson Pickup are pointing skyward - See small photo, below. I think I have found the reason...

"Bumper Bar Extensions" were installed on the pickup, however when they were put on the bumper, the "Clamp-Bumper Bar Extension" was not installed with it (?)...

I need the "Clamp-Bumper Bar Extension" (two of them, for left & right sides of bumper) - See diagram, from the Hudson Group Parts Book 1946-1947.

Please "PM" or email me If you have 'spares' of these parts or can assist me in obtaining them.

Regards to all -

ha rick nice truck, this is hudson dave i have the white truck .i can tell you how to fix that or i have a friend that has a set. my dad tried to jack mine up with a bumper jack and did the same thing to mine . if you take the bumper off and put a pipe wrench on the bracket then put a floor jack under the pipe wrench and lift the truck about four inches then heat the bracket with a torch until the truck settles down it works. hudson dave

I'll take another good look, just to be sure. Either way, I would still would like to put those 'missing' brackets in if possible, as they appear to provide substantial support for those "Bumper Bar Extensions".
