I saw somewhere a picture of a catalina or bonneville (1960-1965) photo on ebay. It had the color of seafoam green. It jumped out to me. I'm restoring a GTO and thought of using this color. As fate would have it , I didn't save the photo and need a picture of a car in this era to validate my color choice to my wife for this car's color. Can someone out there help me out? I need a photo of a mid 60's Pontiac or GM with this color. My email address is tinmanfab@yahoo.com Thanks..

I am gonna paint my '50 Chevy dash red & white, and need to know what the name of the color was for the 55 Chevy that was red & white. It wasnt a bright red but more of an orangish red and a cream or off-white. I bought a '56 Corvette steering wheel and it said it was Roman Red.
I am gonna paint the whole car that color next year, but I'm gonna get it running first, then do the interior this year.

Original 55 passenger car colors were 'Gypsy red and India ivory'. The paint code on the 55 for those colors as two-tone was '617'.

If you go to buickclub.org in the member gallery I found a '65 Buick Seafoam Green owned by Allen Kelmer. All I did was search for gm Seafoam Green and found paint codes and many pics...

pixxcars.com has a search..by color if you want. I found a '62 Pontiac that is a mint or seafoam if that is more like the color you want

I'd like to suggest to you all that you might enjoy this site: autocolorlibrary.com. I don't think that I'd ever order paint based on how well the paint chips resolve on my monitor, but this could be a good way to determine which vintage chip charts to buy on ebay. Regarding the '55 Chev red/white color combo, they offered both white AND ivory in their two-toned selection. I've seen red and green '55s with both white and ivory as the second color. I only mention this so that you'll be careful to get the color that you really want.
