We have a 1964 or 1965 model of corvair that has not been driven for the past 10 years. It belongs to my dad and with his 60th birthday coming up we would like to get it in running condition as a surprise. I live on the east coast and need help to find someone who would be able to help us with that.
The car is located in San Francisco area, more specifically in Los Altos.
TIA,
Mike

A quick browse of Google reveals that there is a Corvair club in San Francisco, and this is their webpage: http://clubs.hemmings.com/frameset.cfm?club=corsanews . You might want to contact one of the club's officers to ask the name of a reputable Corvair repair shop in the area. (You might even want to present your dad with a membership in the Corvair club, if he's an auto enthusiast.) Meantime, try an Internet search engine, typing in such combinations as ''Corvair'' and "San Francisco'' or "Los Altos" and you may even find a better solution!
