What would be the appropriate type of rearvew mirror for a '50 stepdown. I see these door frame types on ebay all the time but what type were installed by the dealer in those days. I don't think they were a factory installed item?

Thanks

I bought the kind that install on the door frame...Never again..The one on the passenger side is Impossible to position so that it can be seen from the drivers seat...

Make sure that what ever you get you can view BOTH (If you are installing 2) can be used when you are seated behind the wheel....

I bought a pair from Bill Albright. They look nearly identical to the originals and are quite handsome. Highly recommended. Make sure you mount them properly. Bill can provide exact position. The are door mounted below the window.
