1941 1/2 Ton Truck Vin

Hello,
I am looking for an alternate Vin number location on a 1941 truck.
The Body plate is damaged and can not be read. The engine is not the original nor is the rear end.... If anyone has any ideas I would be grateful.

Louis, I think? it's on the top of the frame rails one side or the other between the firewall and the radiator support. It's stamped, so some cleaning my be necessary.

Another location may be on the top of the frame but check further down the frame between the firewall and the front door B pillar. Could be on either side. They changed the location of the stampings from time to time probably for production line considerations.
