V-8, Overhead valve, cast iron block. Bore 3.63, Stroke 3.80. 314.6 cid. (called a 315)
Compression ratio - 8.5:1, 204 H/P @ 4400 R.P.M. Torque - 290 @ 2400, 5 main bearings and hydraulic valve lifters.
Push button 3 speed powerflite transmission was extra cost option on D100/D200/D300 models. This engine was standard on the 1957 1/2 ton K-Series D/100.
Sounds like a pretty cool truck.
Any pictures?
Best of luck with it.

1957 Dodge D-100 315 V-8 Push-button Auto I assume this is the "Polysperical" head designed engine? It does run and move on it's own. Thinking about this as a cheap project.

It actually looks like a fun project and if you can get it at a good price, I'd do it. You don't see to many older Dodge trucks.
Best od luck with it
