Guys,
Need some advise on timing my 308 stroker, it has 1/2 stroke, Clifford street/strip cam, Clifford head, Clifford headers, and a twin H intake. What is the correct timing for such a beast? I have looked around and I get a number of different answers depending on where I look. I just put in a pertronics unit so my timing is not correct. I am running 6v pos ground. yes, it can be done on 6 volts.

I would contact Randy Maas. He used to and maybe still does run a Stroker in his drag car. randy@21stcenturyhudson.net

I run 13 total degrees with 11.5 compresson on methonal. I would imagine you are running 8.25-9.00 comp. Try 18 degrees total and if the motor likes it go to 12 and see what what happens. Are you running a clifford head?

Yes, I forgot to mention I have a Clifford head as well. this was the last engine Jack built before his death. Well I should say he was in the process of putting it together when he passed away. And yes, I thnk is is running at 8.50 comp. We did not want to make it to high as I am not a hard core racer like some of you out there.
