I have a few pictures of a run in stand that I built. It has an old 232 running on it. This is what I will use to insure the 232 I am building is ok before I put it in the car. When I try to attach pictures in pdf or jpeg format, it says they go over size limit. What am I doing wrong?

Hey, you first need to reduce the size of your photo... don't know what program you personally use but open your photo for viewing then look under one of the pull down menus for (Export, Share, Save As) something along those lines. There you should be able to change the pixal size (changing the file size) look for a box if it's there to constrain size ratio... (example: 600x450...) change your photo for a smaller size thus changing your file size.
Hope it helps.

Also remember this forum puts a limit of 39.1K on images that are uploaded. I would like to see that stand as I want to build one myself. If you pop over to my site and signup you can upload the pictures there and we can link back to here.

Another thought: post your photo at the Classiccar photo site (click the PHOTO GALLERY link atop this page). Then, when you want to insert a photo go to the ADVANCED reply form, click the little yellow box icon, and copy / paste the URL from your now-published photo into that box.
Or, you can go to the Hudson club's photo album site at http://groups.msn.com/HudsonEssexTerraplaneBulletinBoard/_whatsnew.msnw , start your own ''photo album'', and upload your photo there. Then copy / paste the URL to the "advanced" message box here. (This can be tricky, though... there is sometimes a quirk and the photo won't appear after you do that. However, the advantage of the Club photo album site is that you can group all your photos together in one album).

Hey Alexa I have activated your account just login and upload away.
Also you can create your own album and group your photos together as well. When you click on Gallery look at the top section called user galleries and you will see users who have created their own galleries I have instructions on the site on how to do this.

Actually, there are several means & methods of posting photos -
- Directly within the forum (limit of 39k, already mentioned in this thread);
- Linked from another internet storage area/site (mentioned by "51HornetA");
- From a fairly 'new' storage area enabled within classiccar.com (see below);
Depending on the circumstances and posting, I do all three.
Here is a thread where I went into some detail on that subject (my second post, about 1/2 way down the page) -
http://www.classiccar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4807&highlight=wysiwyg (http://www.classiccar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4807&highlight=wysiwyg)
Also, there is an area on classiccar.com (here) where you can post files up to 102.4k, and then display them in the forum (from another thread) -
http://www.classiccar.com/upload.php (http://www.classiccar.com/upload.php)
I've put quite a few out there already (and have already been denied a few times, with too large a picture). Here's the thread on that feature -

Occasionally, some people have problems with their site settings - which can limit/restrict their ability to post pictures. If you have problems, take a look at this post -

Good luck!

I tried, I get a blank page with a done in the lower left corner. I will try to figure out what I am doing wrong. In addition, I took the pictures with too high a resolution, they are about 2 Meg each. I will take a few tonight with less and see if I can post them.

Yes if they are 2Meg they are too big. You can send them to my email account and I will resize and post for you. On my site just click on my name and click on email and send to there.

I just sent them, I will try to learn the correct way to do this stuff... I plan to keep a running tab on my progress with the 51 Pacemaker.

Thank you sir. I made this from a 51 Hudson front end, a Honda back axle, some pipe and angle Iron. I should have the engine I am building on it in a week or so. Then I will start on the body. How do you "prime" a stepdown oil pump?

Thank goodness you clarified that I thought this was your car, I was thinking to myself thats a death trap LOL. When I redid my oil pump I covered the gears with white grease then assembled it and poured oil into the hole then put it on it leaks a bit until you get it bolted up. Once in you can't really prime it as it mates with the camshaft. Before starting I pulled the coil and turned over the engine to fill the pump. Seemed to work fine.
