Can anyone identify the year and model of this Hudson? My guess is, a 1932 Hudson 8. (Click here for full-sized photo) (http://groups.msn.com/HudsonEssexTerraplaneBulletinBoard/miscuploads.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=3746)

My guess would be a 1931 Country Club Sedan (Greater Eight Series), Murray body. Could well be a '32 as well, but it appears that the 1932 was on a longer wheelbase, with the 'vertical rear line' of the rear door meeting the front of the rear wheelwell/fenderline...
I'm probably wrong thought... (happens quite often).

I agree, 1931 Hudson 8. The '30 models had the door handles on the moulding, this one has it below.

hi geoff Hudson Dave here looking in my book the only one i found with side mounts and the key thing the rear door handes mounted on the rear of the door was a 1931-1932 Hudson club sedan was a major series 5-passenger model weighing 3,555 pounds costing $1,495 and having front and rear doors hinged on the same pillar .the body design was marketed in 1931 and for 1932 was revised as needed to fit it to the longer chassis. The 31/32 Club sedans were similar, but the '31 had the wide belt moulding, as in this pic, whereas the '32 had a narrow moulding. Also the die-lights were very slightly higher on the '31, so I'll stick with '31 for the year of the car in question.

Oops, slip of the fingers - I meant to type "side-lights".
