Well I had a conversation with my wife about my project that I am trying to get completed. I told her I needed to pickup a few parts in the next few weeks. She came back with the comment that only "Single Guys and Guys that have kids in college" have time to get "Projects" done. With that said, I need to wait 15 years until my kids are in college.

Well I disagree!!!

I want to know what people thoughts are with this?

Sounds to me like your wife doesn't want you to have any projects. I imagine that she feels left out.
Here's an idea that worked for my brother. His wife did everything she could think of to keep him from working on his old car. She even made stuff up, and everytime he went into the garage, she was griping that there were other things that he needed to do. Things that really didn't need doing.
So, he bought her a decent digital camera, and told her that he wanted her to be his "official" phoographer, and document the progress he was making. She was reluctant at first, then she really began to get involved in the project, and even learned how to turn a wrench.Once she became involved, she stopped bugging him about the project.
One day, while he was out of town, she went out and bought her own project car, a car that she liked, not one that he did.
Now, 4 years later, they have two great rides in their garage.

Get her involved somehow. It will make a difference.

Or you can throw it back on her next time she wants to paint the living room to a Seafoam green color or something. "I'll just wait until the kids are in college." That'll show her!

Wait, that might be why I'm still single.
That, and I have dinosaurs playing poker for an avatar.
