Hey, Guys;
I know where a '49 Commodore 4-door rust-free rolling chasis is for sale for next to nothing (like a hundred bucks or so). This chassis would be perfect for anyone looking for frame sections to graft onto their rusty stepdown, or even possibly as a restoration project. The underside of the car has absolutely no rust-though whatsoever that I could see. It's located in a junkyard in Delano, Minnesota that is slated for mass crushing due to the untimely death of the yard owner. There are also two or three other really rough stepdowns available as well. The rolling shell has EVERYTHING stripped off of it that isn't required for the car to roll, including the front clip, engine & trans, rear fenders, doors, deck lid, interior, glass, etc. is all gone. The car was originally from Montana. If you're interested, contact the yard at (763) 972-2497 from 9-4 CDT on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays only.
