View Full Version : Carpet, Floormats, etc..?

Was fiddling with the emergency brake on my 'Blue Goose' (cable is out, but am painting the pieces under the dash, before I put it back in...), and took note of the carpet that was installed. Pretty cheap, and does not 'set' well (wrinkled and bunched-up everywhere). To cover this a bit, the previous owner also has aftermarket floormats down.

Anyone put carpeting into a 46-47 Hudson pickup? Could probably use the same carpet that goes into the coupe/sedan (minus the rear seat area).

Or - as an alternative, I could go back to floormats, as were probably original to the truck... K-Gap has floormats:

Anyone ever buy/use them on their vehicle?

Any thoughts on carpet? Anyone have a source for carpeting for a 46-47 Hudson?

Thanks in advance -

Bob Rossel HET member in NJ sells carpet sets designed for Hudsons. I just bought a set for my '50, not sure what he has for trucks but I know he has them for '40s style Hudsons. His upholstery shop is called Bob's Auto Top in Summit NJ. He also advertises in WTN in the classifieds. I would give him a call he can probably fix you up. I am not at home or I would send you his number.
