How to polish chrome.

I have several pieces of chrome that needs cleaning. I also have several pieces that are pitted pretty bad but in good shape other than that. Is there a way to clean or polish pitted chrome without spending the big bucks on new pieces or rechroming?

If your chrome is pitted, the only solution is to rechrome or buy new. You can actually rub the chrome off the part trying to get rid of the pits. If you are desperate, use some chrome polish. If that doesn't work, some very fine steel wool will help, but more likely will scratch the chrome or take the chrome off the part for good. Wish I had better news for you, but you can't do much with pits in chrome.
