hi guys, i have a 63 Biscayne (impala) and want to take out the 3 on the tree tranny and replace it with a 4spd floor shift.

how difficult is this and what type of 4 speeds are compatable with this car?

engine is the 283 CI.

Saginaw or Muncie You will have to cut out the floorboard (side of tunnel) to allow for the shifter. You may also have to use a different length drive shaft.
