I bet I've only bought/sold less than 4 items on ebay in the 6-12 months. as I've gotten pretty turned off by the fees, fraud and such.

Lately I've been using Craigslist for Washington and Oregon and I have been having much better experiences buying or selling.

Just this weekend I bought a moving truck and pressure washer from some local people advertising on Craigslist. Both purchases I was able to negotiate a reasonable price to where I felt I got a great deal and the sellers were happy.

I like Craigslist because its free and you can post some pictures...

Does anyone else have other places online they trust to buy and sell items other than Craigslist or Ebay?

I have advertised looking for Hudsons in Craigs list and had lots of calls from all over the country. Can't beat it.

I use Craigslist much more than ebay. I have had great luck on Craigslist, it's more like a flea market or yard sale where you can negotiate a little.

I check the Tampa Bay Craigslist daily.

FYI .... From Craigs Lists FAQ

Q: Is there a connection between craigslist and eBay?
A: eBay acquired 25% of the equity in craigslist from a former shareholder in august of 2004.

The "axis of evil" has its hands in Craigslist :p - probably put a nice chunk-o-change in Craigs pocket!

At least CL is still free - for now!

About the only thing that REALLY annoys me about Craigslist is that you can't do a 'multi-area' search for items...

HERE HERE - I second that opinion!

If CL would just provide an RSS feed it would be dirt simple to write a bot to search the lists...

That is also my biggist gripe. Can't search in multiple areas. It would make it alot better when looking for Hudsons...

Nice link - I wish they didn't make you have to scroll the results - I'd rather see the search results full page.

Originally they did, but Craigslist blocked them...
