Bill, can you tell me what colour the neon tubes show when lit up on the original outdoor dealer signs ?? Is it bright red or more of a pinkish red, and is it white for the lettering, or some sort of blueish hue for the lettering ?
Thanks,
silverone

Very Cool Bill! Now maybe I should do something like that with my old shell? Maybe weld some plates to keep the body from flying off on the corners.....but it would certainly be a hella of alot of fun!

Down here in the south, there is a movement to run vintage cars - driveline and all.
I do believe the group closest to me requires a straight front axle, I-beam, or other non-Aframe front suspension. Mostly prewar or immediate post war bodies. I believe they allow up to '48 bodies. Engines cannot be after '54 and the only V8's allowed are flatheads. I like that.
There is a Hudson, All Hudson, running in a similiar class that had a Inliner's International "12-Port News" article to its credit. If I'm not mistaken, the fellow was in North Carolina. These nostalgia classes are kinda regional, and so are the rules. No real "national" sanctioning body or uniform rules that have been accepted.
A body is better than nothing on the track. But it really don't stir me till its got that Hudson buzzin' half dozen amid the tubing and sheet metal.
Any way you slice it - it looks like alot of fun.
Carry on Mr. Albright - I'm envious of you already, just another reason to be moreso.
