I need an exhaust elbow for a 55 manifold. The Twin H I got is from a 55 and the elbow was broken. I thought one of my earlier elbows would fit but I found out it doesn't. Quite a bit different actually. Any help here would be appreciated.
Thanks

55's had tiny outlets out of the manifold, to make space in that crowded crowded engine bay. mine had another elbow welded to it at one stage, just to make things more crowded in a right hand drive car... you might want to go down that path and get some better breathing

You are right, they do not interchange. The exhaust manifold outlet for the stepdowns is 2 1/4" the 55 is 2 1/2". But also ata different angle. The big spring towers on the Nash Body called for some reconfiguration. Hope you can find the elbow. I would imagine they are around. They seldom break, unlike the main manifold.

The 55 is about a 1/4 inch bigger. I might have been able to get the one welded up but with my inexperience, I didn't realize they were different and I just threw it out :(
