1950? Chevy found in the woods

Found an abandoned 1950 (I think) Chevy in the woods in North Carolina in December. It didn't look too bad...no engine, interior gone, but body mostly there, and some glass. I have always been fascinated with finds like this. If only the car could talk. This was one of seven cars in the same spot (and one piece of old farm equipment), and the one in the best shape. The others were 1950's Fords and Mercurys. It's still there and I have more pictures if anyone is interested...

I bought a 49 Hudson from ebay 2 years ago. It had been sitting in Palm Springs for the last 20 years. I found some papers and info from the early 60's where the car was registered in Sturgis, S.D. = I've tried to find some information on the car but no luck...I also wonder what stories it would tell!
